The Lowdown
As in past years, this fundraising exhibition will support the non-profit Seymour Art Gallery. It is open to all local artists, and all media is welcome. All work will be offered for sale at $300, $200, or $100.
The Event
Art Party! will begin with a fun and artful evening reception, where exhibiting artists can mingle with buyers and enjoy live music, our silent auction and more. Successful entries will have the opportunity to show with a range of talented established and emerging artists, inspiring visitors by demonstrating the creativity in our arts community. Admission is by donation.
The Intent
We are encouraging our community and membership to come out and collect wonderful local art and to fundraise for our non-profit art gallery.
The Fine Print
The artist will receive 50% of the sale price and the balance will remain with the Seymour Art Gallery to support our exhibitions and related programming. Artists may submit up to five pieces.
About Us
Seymour Art Gallery is a non-profit society fostering excellence and promoting interest in the arts. We welcome over 26,000 visitors annually to our gallery, Gallery Shop, and special events. Along with a busy exhibition schedule, we present free performance events including talks, artist demonstrations, interactive art-making, and events for children.
Important Dates

Artwork drop off: Sunday, June 23 from 11 am – 4 pm
Art Party! opening event: Friday, June 28 at 5 pm
Exhibition dates: June 28 at 5 p.m. – July 13 at 5 pm
Artwork pick up: Sunday, July 14 between 11 am – 4 pm

2025 Exhibition Proposals
Application deadline: July 2, 2024
We are currently accepting online applications for exhibition proposals for Seymour Art Gallery’s 2025 schedule.
We are looking for exhibitions and artwork that will challenge visitors and encourage conversation. We strongly recommend that applicants visit the gallery in person and review past exhibitions on our website before submitting.
As a public gallery with a mandate for education and enrichment, Seymour Art Gallery presents at least one program with every exhibition; submitting artists must be willing to present an artist talk or demonstration, or have a suggestion for another program (performance, music, dance, etc) related to their exhibition.
Seymour Art Gallery presents an opening reception, produces printed materials (including posters and invitation cards), and organizes publicity for exhibitions (press release, social media, online listings, and evites) at no cost to the artist(s). As a non-profit gallery, we are pleased to offer exhibiting fees and an honorarium for artist talks, but regret that we do not have a budget for shipping or travel for our exhibitions at this time.
