Felt Making the Old Fashioned Way

Instructor: Kimberley Francis

Learn to dye fleece using Kool-Aid and then create small items such as a toy creatures, felt jewelry or a frame-able compositional piece. Fleece and supplies will be provided.

Everything Paper with Denise Urcola

Make fabulous hand made papers, add textures, leaves and other items. Turn them into containers, collage, frames, books and more.

Embroidery and Embellishment

Instructor: Kimberley Francis
Make a small corduroy pencil bag or box, personalized head band, wallet or small handbag and then embellish using embroidery stitches, beading appliquïe techniques. Will also explore motifs and texts, colour and design theory. A selection of sample fabrics and supplies will be provided.

Screening and Block Printing

Instructor: Kimberley Francis
Design and print your own T-Shirt, Bandana or Stationary using wash fast pigment. Students will create their own Blocks using leaves, stencils and found objects. Students are welcome to bring clothing to print on. Sample fabric and supplies will be provided.

Drawing Fundamentals with Fariba Dashtaray

Learn to draw using pencil, graphite, conte, charcoal and more. Different drawing techniques will be explorede including perspective, light and shade and colour values.

1pm to3pm Block Printmaking with Fariba Dashtaray. Learn to cut a block and make hand inked prints. Images can then be framed, made into cards or collaged into a larger piece.
